            CHAPLAIN          RELOCATION

CHAPLAIN

To provide or perform religious support for all authorized personnel of Randolph AFB, TX during peacetime and across the full spectrum of war in order to support the command in the facilitation of the free exercise of religion. To advise the command in matters of religion, morals, morale, and ethical issues in order to support the unit mission.

The Randolph Chapel Team is committed to meeting the spiritual needs of the world's finest airmen for tomorrow and deploying as and with combat-ready warriors today. Four chaplains, three auxiliary chaplains, and six support personnel are assigned to administer an extensive religious program in two chapel buildings. Chaplain offices and administrative offices are located in the Randolph Chapel Center, located next to Chapel 1 on Washington Circle near the "Taj," Building 100. Chapel 2 is located near the Rambler Fitness Center. A Muslim Prayer Room is maintained by chapel personnel and is available by contacting the chapel center. -Sunday 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. in Chapel 2

Eucharistic Adoration
-Following 11:30 a.m. Mass on the first Friday of the month in Chapel 1
-Rosary on the first Friday of the month at 11 a.m. in Chapel 1

Holy Days
-11:30 a.m. in Chapel 1
-5 p.m. in Chapel 2

Sacrament of Penance
-Saturday 4:30-5 p.m. in Chapel 1

Catholic Youth in Action is open to Catholic High School youth and meets Sunday evenings from 6:30-8 p.m. in the chapel center for fun, fellowship, service projects, and learning more about their faith.

Catholic Women of the Chapel from September thru May meet monthly on the first Saturday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel center.

Catholic Men of the Chapel the St. Joseph's Men's group meets monthly every third Saturday at 8 a.m. in Chapel 1for Mass, followed by fellowship faith discussion, and breakfast in the chapel center.

Confirmation and First Communion Instruction and other catholic rites are scheduled throughout the year. Call the chapel center at 652-6121 for the most updated schedule.

Sacramental Preparation Baptism Class meets first Wednesday of the month in the chapel center library room at noon. Marriage preparation (six months prior to desired date) requires attending a wedding briefing and making an appointment with the priest.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults meets Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in the chapel center.

Music Choir practice is at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays in Chapel 2.

OTHER FAITH GROUP ACTIVITIES:

Jewish Sabbath Services are conducted at Lackland Air Force Base at the Airmen Memorial Chapel. Additional information is available by calling 671-2911.

Orthodox Worship is conducted at Lackland Air Force Base at the Airmen Memorial Chapel. Additional information is available by calling 671-2911.

Muslim Prayer Room is available on Randolph for those wishing to participate in daily prayer or special services. Stop by the chapel center for access to the Prayer Room.

Promotions and Retirements All promotions and retirements are no longer conducted in Chapel 1 or Chapel 2 and can only be held in the Chapel Center Fellowship Halls. Please call 652-6121 for more information.
